Today’s Local Media Expands Executive Leadership Team
I have seen throughout my life the important role that local businesses play in our economy. After all, there are more than 30 million local businesses in North America alone.
At SuperMedia, I loved working with companies to help them grow their business, but I knew there had to be a better way. So in 2012 I founded Today’s Local Media. We started out small, but with a big vision. We had a few clients primarily within a few hundred miles of Dallas, where my family and I live.
But over time the business has grown. Our reputation for getting results and providing outstanding customer service has spread. We now have clients across North America serving high-growth metro areas like San Francisco, Miami, Chicago, Atlanta, Washington D.C. and Houston.
And to keep up with this growth, I knew we needed to expand our team to continue providing the high level of service we have always had. That is why I am pleased to announce a different kind of growth at Today’s Local Media, our team.
First, Keith Brown will be our new Chief Marketing Officer. Keith and I have known each other for many years. We first met when we worked at Verizon Superpages. At the time, Keith led organic growth for Superpages, managing over 32M monthly visitors. Keith has 15+ years of experience scaling high-growth companies, most recently at Aha! and prior to that RealPage. He has been a trusted advisor and a good friend for many years. I am excited to get him more involved in the strategic direction of our business.
Operations and Finance
In addition to Keith, I am excited to share that Cassie Wright will be our new Chief Financial and Operating Officer. Cassie has 6+ years of financial audit and consulting experience with Deloitte and most recently with Protiviti. Cassie has also been a part of Today’s Local Media since the beginning. As my wife, she supported my vision and helped us from the sidelines during our first few years. After the birth of our daughter, it made sense for Cassie to formally join the team, and she will be helping us grow our operations and client success processes.
Part of the reason we have grown so quickly with such a small team is our relentless focus on outstanding customer service. Our customers now stretch from Toronto to San Francisco. Cassie’s experience in client service with large companies brings a unique perspective to our team. Cassie will be a big part of enabling us to grow while still providing the same level of support and service our clients have grown accustomed to over the years.
More than anything else, I am glad Today’s Local Media has grown to the point to where more people are benefitting from its success, including my own family. And along the way, even though we grew quickly, we never lost the vision we originally had for getting results while providing excellent customer service.
I have never been more excited about the future.
